What do I do to get started?
It’s always helpful to schedule an initial consultation to explore your goals and decide if this is the best fit for you.
Once you schedule a consultation, you’ll receive a few forms to read (e.g., on privacy). You’ll also get a “Good Faith Estimate” for the cost of services. The estimate explains how much you could potentially spend after a year of therapy.
When you decide to move forward, we’ll send you an intake form to help us get started during your first session.

The standard fee is $160 for a 50-minute session.

What are your strengths as a therapist?
Crystal
I believe my greatest strengths are my curiosity and ability to make hard things make sense.
When I’m with you, I’ll want to know the “why” behind your behaviors and decisions. I’m constantly exploring links and root causes. When we explore them together, you’ll make those connections as well.
I’ll make recommendations to support you outside of the therapy room and explain how they help. Therapy shouldn’t be a mystery. I’ll speak in plain terms to help you learn more about yourself.
Have you been in therapy yourself?
We think it’s really important to practice what we preach and be in the best mental headspace we can be for the people who need us most.
Crystal attends her own therapy every month. When she experienced some seriously difficult moments in her life, she went every other week. She’s so thankful for her safe space. (Shout out to her therapist, James … he’s the G.O.A.T.!)
Are you LGBTQIA-friendly?
Yes! We are human beings who work with other human beings. Whether you’re straight, gay, trans, etc., you’re a person with authentic feelings. In this office, you’re accepted. Our goal is to support you through whatever life throws your way. We’re in this together.
Do I have to lie on a couch?
Our couch is pretty cozy, and there’s an ottoman you can use if you’d like. Remember: This is your time to be open, comfortable, and yourself!
Am I allowed to ask you personal questions?
Sure. We’re pretty transparent therapists. With that in mind, we will never monopolize your session with our stuff. But we don’t mind answering questions about ourselves.
Cats or Dogs?
Crystal
I have a dog and two cats. My dog, Miles, is my first. I guess I’m really a cat person at heart!
