I took a winding road into therapy.
It’s a story involving 26 years of teaching experience and a passion for helping others.
I’ve navigated the halls of public and private schools, coached homeschool families… and somewhere along the way, discovered my true calling.
It happened when I filled in for our school counselor. That changed everything. It was a blessing connecting with students on a deeper level.
But I soon realized these students faced obstacles much bigger than the ones they encountered at school. Many also needed help at home and with their family.
That became my mission, and it fueled my journey to becoming a licensed therapist.
My approach sets me apart…
It’s all about connection.
I believe in building genuine relationships with each client, creating a space where you’ll feel truly heard, seen, and supported.
When I’m with you, it’s not just another appointment on my calendar – it’s a commitment to walking alongside you on your journey.
When you work with me, you can expect dedicated time, unwavering commitment, and a genuine investment in your growth and well-being.
Step into my office…
Your story matters, and sharing it takes courage. That’s why I’ve made my office a cozy retreat designed for comfort and calm, where you can feel completely at ease.
Sink into the plush couch, wrap yourself in a warm blanket, and let the gentle background music help you unwind.
Need a little pick-me-up? Help yourself to the coffee bar and snacks – because sometimes the best conversations happen over a warm cup of coffee.
I even have an honor library where you can check out books – because healing and growth shouldn’t be limited to our session time together.
This space is designed to help you feel comfortable being yourself as you share your journey.
When I’m not doing therapy…
You’ll find me embracing the joys of family life: spending precious time with my four grown children, cherishing moments with my three grandchildren, and enjoying life alongside my wonderful husband.
As the oldest of nine siblings scattered across the country, I understand the importance of maintaining connections, which often leads to memorable travel adventures to visit family.
I believe in practicing what I preach about self-care, whether that’s taking rejuvenating walks, bike rides through the neighborhood, sharing laughs with friends over comfort food, or indulging in the occasional sweet treat.
Life’s journey is better when shared, and I’d be honored to be part of yours. Call us today for your free consultation: (615) 994-1314.
